My takeaways
OPINION: House managers have offered a far more persuasive & potent presentation — on both process and substance — than Trump’s team (which has a lot less to work with). REALITY: It almost certainly doesn’t matter. Approx. 95 Senators’ minds were made up coming in.
SPOILERS:
- Threshold vote on constitutionality (soon) will pass w/ all Dems & some R’s.
- Trump acquitted in the end, foreclosing vote on barring him from future office.
- Only drama = possible witnesses & how many Rs vote to convict (over/under 5).

We know the votes are there to put Trump on trial ...
and we know there aren't enough votes for conviction.
Can we just end this already? Such a colossal waste of time, this second impeachment push

Schoen: They tell us that we have to have this impeachment trial, such as it is, to bring about unity. But they don't want unity. And they know this so-called trial will tear the country in half, leaving tens of millions of Americans feeling left out of the nation's agenda, as dictated by one political party that now holds the power in the White House and our national legislature.
