Philip Holloway

Philip Holloway is the founder of the Holloway Law Group in Cobb County, Georgia. Philip is the host of the hit true-crime podcast, "Sworn" (www.swornpodcast.com) that takes listeners deep inside the real criminal justice system. As a former major crimes prosecutor and police officer, Philip is able to break down complicated legal issues for any audience to easily understand. Philip is also an excellent political analyst on issues where law and politics intersect. Philip is the legal analyst for WSB Radio in Atlanta, Ga. and appears regularly on national and international media with analysis of legal news items.

Philip is also a contributor and consultant to the blockbuster podcast "Up And Vanished" which explored the mysterious murder of south Georgia teacher and beauty queen, Tara Grinstead.

Philip is media-savvy and has a wealth of media experience that includes numerous live and recorded appearances on all major national, local and media outlets. Philip can do live hits on location, in-studio, by satellite remote or any alternative.

Holloway's primary focus is criminal law and he appears regularly in various courts in the state of Georgia. His cases include criminal defense, juvenile law, police law (including police brutality), military law and select civil litigation. He is the legal adviser to the Oconee County, Georgia Sheriff's Office and maintains his certification with the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council. Police use-of-force and investigative tactics are among his areas of specialty.

Philip is a former police instructor and is a certified flight instructor. Holloway began his legal career after graduating summa cum laude in 1996 from South Texas College of Law. He went on to serve as an officer and judge advocate in the U.S. Navy.

While on active duty in the US Navy, Holloway graduated from the Naval Justice School's trial advocacy course and earned certification as trial and defense counsel. Holloway has also served as an assistant district attorney, president of the Cobb County Bar Association's criminal law section and has served as a substitute judge. He has been an adjunct professor of criminal justice at Kennesaw State University. Philip is admitted to practice law in Georgia, Ohio and the federal courts and is a member of the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court.
